Hurom DU – Horizontal Slow Juicer

The juicer market is slowly being revolutionised by Hurom and the DU offers a few tweaks to the standard horizontal juicer style. Like many horizontal models it provides solid performance with a 64 RPM augur that extracts great yields. However, additionally to the norm the DU also has a unique end cap design that cuts down pulp and regulates its flow. Finally, the DU is also capable of many functions outside of juicing and it has earned the title of a 4 in 1 juicer.

Compact Design

The Hurom DU offers a great value package with a very compact design that takes up very little kitchen space. It is one of the smallest horizontal juicers ever in both length and width and has an impossibly small body that puts other models to shame. This makes it very easy to store and pick up between uses thanks to its low overall weight.

Unique Cutting Blade

The DU also features a unique end cap design that has never been seen before in a horizontal juicer. This end cap style has a stainless-steel plate with a cutting blade on its inner surface. The blade cuts down pulp as it is pushed out of the juicer and controls the rate of ejection, ensuring that it is even throughout the entire juicing process. Finally, the blade also helps to achieve better results with the mincing functions of the DU.

Efficient Juicing

As well as some unique features the DU performs well during juicing and it operates at a steady and slow speed of 64 RPM. This allows it to effectively get high yields from many types of ingredients, ensuring pulp well pressed. The cold press mechanism also ensures that plenty of nutrients are transferred from ingredients to the juice as they are squeezed.

4 Functions in 1 Device

Alongside its great juicing ability the DU is also capable of a range of other functions, which can be achieved with the homogenising blank and 4 provided nozzles. In total it specialises in 3 other functions outside of juicing and these are: mincing, kneading and grinding. Through these functions its possible to make many different types of food including pasta, sorbets, nut butters and baby foods.
