Stockli Dorrex Dehydrator with 12 Hour Timer and Stainless Steel Trays - Drying with the Dorrex Dehydrator is a natural and simple way to conserve fruit, vegetables, mushrooms, herbs, meat and to make home made jerky. Dried produce retains the maximum nutritional value when dehydrated at the right temperature and consequently are not only very healthy but are tastier than shop bought products because no artificial preservatives are added.The Easy-clean body is made from food safe plastic and this drier is equipped with a variable temperature dial with fine adjustment between 35 and 70 °C (86 - 158 °F) to provide consistent, gentle drying by actively circulating warm air. This model also features a 12 hour timer and a built in safety cut-out device which prevents the machine from over-heating whilst dehydrating if the airflow is restricted due to overfilling. The Stockli range of dehydrators have a smaller footprint than other driers and are ideal for the space challenged kitchen.Sturdily constructed of food safe, corrosion proof, taste-free polypropylene, it comes complete with 3 dishwasher safe drying trays that have a stainless steel mesh base - so no food comes in to contact with plastic. Each tray can hold up to half a kilo of produce and a maximum of 10 trays can be used at any one time with this dehydrator. Extra trays are available from us here. The appropriate processing times for a variety of foods are printed on the transparent plastic lid of the drier.
