The New SoloStar II single auger juicer is the latest offering from
Tribest - the manufacturer of the renowned
Green Star juicer. This slow speed juicer operates at a slow 80 RPM and is suitable for all fruits, vegetables, wheatgrass and leafy greens. It also includes accessories for producing pasta and noodles and a homogenising screen for processing nut butters, salsas, smoothies, sorbets and more.
The original SoloStar juicer Mark I was the first ever single auger juicer to utilise a dual-stage extraction process. Whilst this process did produce a greater yield of juice when compared to other juicers in the same category, it disappointingly struggled to cope with apples and some other fruits. Tribest have reworked this process to allow it to cope with apples and a wider range of produce and have included the 2nd generation dual-stage extraction process on the New SoloStar juicer Mark II.
A dual stage juicer extracts juice at two different points during the juicing process. In the first stage, the juice is extracted at the wide end of the juicing screen before it is reabsorbed by the pulp. In the second stage, the remaining pulp is then squeezed again at the thinner end of the juicing screen in order to extract any remaining juice.
** In a recent independent test, the SoloStar 2 produced an extra 20% more juice when juicing carrots and a 3% increase with apples when compared against the other dual-stage juicer the Oscar VitalMax.
The auger on the dual-stage SoloStar II juicer is considerably longer than those featured on a one-stage single auger juicer. This increase in length is required to squeeze the produce through the extended dual-stage juicing screen. The extended auger combined with the dual-stage juicing screen is what we believe produces an increase in extracted juice over other single auger juicers.
A unique feature of this juicer is that a
conversion kit can be purchased to turn the machine into a manual juicer - making it ideal for taking away on holiday. It includes the base, clamp and handle from the Tribest
Z-Star juicer which you attach the front end juicing parts from the SoloStar juicer.
