The L’Equip 110.5 ’Mini’ Pulp Ejector Juicer was launched in 2001 and has won rave reviews since this time. Awarded ’Best Buy’ in the Independent Newspaper for 2 years running and has featured on Channel 4’s ’You Are What You Eat’ with Gillian McKeith. This juice extractor is feature rich; firstly it has an automatic pulp ejection system to allow continuous juicing. The waste fibre is ejected into the collection basket at the rear of the juicer and the basket has been designed to be easily removed without undoing any clasps. This patented system also prevents clogging. The 350 watt engine may seem measly compared to other machines on the market but this is an induction motor which adjusts the power to suit what is being juiced and it performs just as well as machines with motors 3 times the size. Juicing all fruits and vegetables (except wheatgrass) with the ’Mini’ is fast and it can produce enough juice for the family in minutes.Named the ’Mini’ as it’s half the size of its bigger brother the L’Equip 221 (only available in the USA), it stands just a foot tall and is great if your kitchen worktop is already overflowing with gadgets or you have limited workspace available.L’Equip have continued with the professional theme by not including a whole fruit feeding chamber. This means that while you do have to chop up the produce (you need to quarter an apple), the result is a less foamy juice and the stainless steel fine strainer gives a less pulpy juice than other juicers in this class. The L’Equip 110.5 Pulp Ejector juicer is a genuinely easy to clean juicing machine, all parts can be cleaned under a running tap with the aid of a washing up brush and if that’s too much a chore you can pop it in a dishwasher on a cool wash. Assembly and disassembly is done in seconds making this truly a user friendly appliance and the juice strainer and juice bowl are made of stainless steel.
Our Verdict: - The best centrifugal juicer we have tested.
