The process is simple and the small number of parts and low speed motor make this type of squeezer very reliable. The oranges fall into the path of the squeezing drums which first take them over a knife which halves them. The half oranges then meet the squeezing ‘balls’ as the drums rotate and the juice is pressed out and passes through the easily removable filter, meanwhile the skins are conveniently discharged into the waste buckets that sit either side and the machine stops automatically. The juice quality is excellent with surprisingly little transfer of bitter oil from the skin compared to some automatics.
